Marianne Siegfried-Brookes
Managing Director
Marianne is founder and managing director at the German Academy.
She has an MSc in Secondary Education from the University of Zurich and an MBA from the University of Warwick (UK).
Marianne can look back on more than a decade of management experience in the UK, Sweden and Switzerland as head teacher and organiser of various Saturday schools and Kindergartens.
She is responsible for the management, and for strategy and innovation at the German Academy.
Katja Reinhardt
Director
Katja has been director at the German Academy since 2019.
She is founder of the DSS Derb and teaches at the ONLINE DSS. Her focus at The German Academy is the exchange between teachers and between the Saturday Schools.
Katja co-founded the portal 'Wir Samstagsschulleute' and various social media forums that offer a huge selection of ready-made lessons and ideas for German Saturday school teachers.
Anne Honsel
Director
Anne has been director at the German Academy since 2015.
After studying German and literature, Art and Textile Design at the universities of Osnabrueck, Vienna and Heidelberg, Anne completed her teacher training in Aachen. She continued her studies with a Masters in Teaching and Learning at the University of Leicester.
Anne focuses on the development approach to learning and the role of teacher as an mediator. Creativity and sensitivity to the needs and interests of the child are the focus of her work at the German Academy.
