SATURDAY
SCHOOLS

ABOUT

Our Saturday Schools offer supplementary education in German language and culture. They promote language learning and bilingualism, and support parents and carers in the upbringing of bilingual children.

Every Saturday School is unique and offers its very own classes and events. The quality of German Academy education can be seen throughout all of our schools. In addition, all Saturday Schools are part of the network of German Saturday Schools UK (VDSS), and the National Resource Centre for Supplementary Education, (NRCSE).

Lessons are always fun and active and tailored to the students' needs. Our Saturday Schools teach language by using it in real-live contexts and as means of real communication, be it to write a letter to the Osterhase, or plan a market stall for the Jahrmarkt. We keep our learners engaged through content that matters to them!

Not all our schools offer GCSE and A-level just yet, but at the schools which do, the vast majority of students reach a very good grade at GCSE in school year 8 or 9, and at A-level in year 12 or 13. It's also possible for our Saturday School students to take a telc exam; as internationally recognised proof of their German ability - level (A to C).
