SUMMER PARTY
ABOUT
Join us to celebrate the longest day of the year with a big summer party with music, a big bonfire, bratwurst, beer, and a traditional Germany-England football match which is usually won by the Germans of course :)
The summer party takes place at the weekend after the 20th of June each year on a private paddock in Leicester (LE16 7UZ). Camping is possible on the paddock.
The party is the German Academy's biggest event in the year, and a great chance to meet other German speakers from the UK and beyond!
We look forward to seeing you and your family there!
WHAT IS THERE TO DO?
BBQ
As is typical in any good summer party, we have a BBQ grill! A summer party ticket includes a choice between a burger or sausage with vegan options available! You're also welcome to bring your own things to chuck on the BBQ!
Camping
We always invite all our gets to come camp with us! Bring a caravan or a tent and stay the night, then enjoy the remains of the fire in the morning with some porridge!
Bonfire
We also have a huge bonfire, which only seems to get bigger each year! With plenty of seating around the bonfire, you can relax and admire the fire or wait till it dies down and bake some Stockbrot!
Midnight Walk
Why not join us for our midnight candle-lit walk through the dark forest and the fields! We walk through the fields with our living lights and enjoy the quiet surrounding nature.
Football
We also have a full football field that your kids (or you) can play on! As the sun sets, we have our annual traditional England vs. Germany football game, where everyone is invited to play!
Live Music
Music is an essential part to any good party and we are no different! With music throughout the day, and a band playing live music in the evening we're sure you'll enjoy yourself!
